338P A new clinically applicable immune-metabolic signature (IMMETCOLS) reveals metabolic singularities in consensus molecular subtypes (CMS) in colorectal cancer

چکیده

In the last years, a great effort has been made to unify different independent colorectal cancer (CRC) molecular classification systems into four consensus subtypes (CMS). The are found be associated with distinct microenvironmental features and clinical outcome, although metabolic singularities not well established. Metabolic dysregulation reported as hallmark of CMS3 but heterogeneity among other investigated. Here, taking account increasing evidence on importance, for determining response therapies, crosstalk between cells, tumor microenvironment immune we investigated in CMS using genetic immune-metabolic signature (IMMETCOLS).

Consensus Molecular Subtypes of Colorectal Cancer and their Clinical Implications

The colorectal cancer (CRC) subtyping consortium has unified six independent molecular classification systems, based on gene expression data, into a single consensus system with four distinct groups, known as the consensus molecular subtypes (CMS); clinical implications are discussed in this review based on articles relevant to the CMS of CRC indexed in PubMed as well as the authors’ own ...

Metabolic Footprints and Molecular Subtypes in Breast Cancer

Cancer treatment options are increasing. However, even among the same tumor histotype, interpatient tumor heterogeneity should be considered for best therapeutic result. Metabolomics represents the last addition to promising "omic" sciences such as genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics. Biochemical transformation processes underlying energy production and biosynthetic processes have been re...

Role of Molecular Biomarkers in Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is amongst the most widespread cancers and is a most common cause of cancer associated mortality universally. Since previous decades, it has been cleared that CRC develops owing to the buildup of a series of genetic and epigenetic changes in the normal colonic epithelium. Regardless of the current development in surgery and therapies, overall survival of end stage CRC pa...

Metabolic transformations in breast cancer subtypes

Background Heterogeneity of cancer poses a huge challenge for selecting effective treatment. Gene expression data has helped identify different subtypes also of breast cancer [1] which has led to improved patient stratification and therapeutic strategies. However, treatment of the triple negative (TNBC) subtype, which develops independent of hormone and other receptors, still remains challengin...
